Every product below is raised, hatched, processed or milled on Frembu's own sites in Thogoto and Wangige — nothing is bought in from outside the chain.
Layers & Eggs
Our farm in Thogoto, Mutarakwa specializes in layering chicken for eggs at large-scale commercial volume. Birds are raised in a conducive, secure environment from arrival to production, supplying retail chains and hospitality clients across Kenya.

Broilers
Day-old-broiler (ODO) chicks are raised for sale in the market or transferred in-house to our processing facilities, where they become our market-leading chilled and frozen chicken products — sold business-to-business and at retail.

Kienyeji Chicken
Due to high demand, we've embarked on layering free-range chickens, commonly known as kienyeji. These birds have the option to move outside and experience natural sunlight, rather than being kept indoors under artificial light — so they're never pushed to grow, and maintain a natural, healthier growth cycle.
Free-range production is more capital-intensive — feed, chicks and the extra space and infrastructure the birds need all cost more — but it commands a premium with health-conscious buyers.

Processing & Distribution
Our certified processing facilities ensure only the best-quality chicken reaches consumers, specializing in the slaughter of broilers for both business-to-business and retail sale. From there, a dedicated fleet of more than 400 refrigerated trucks carries products to retail outlets, restaurants and five-star hotels.

Animal Feed
Through our subsidiary ESGC, we produce poultry-compounded animal feed in pellet and mash form. In keeping with our commitment to premium quality, our feed uses absolutely no animal ingredients. We sell business-to-business as well as supplying the rest of Frembu's own divisions.
